Individual Legal Services
Contract disputes are an almost inevitable part of running a business in Korea. While businesses rely on the predictability that contracts ostensibly offer, any number of factors — including mutual failure of the parties to understand their legal obligations — can lead to misunderstandings and ultimately disputes between businesses or between a business and its customers.
Our attorneys are no stranger to advocating for a foreign client’s position before a judge and prevailing in trials. At the same time, he well recognizes that in the business world time is money.
In some cases, we can resolve a dispute simply through sending a strongly worded demand letter of lawyer. Other situations may call for careful negotiation in which the parties work toward a compromise. Knowing that our clients turn to us to get results, however, we never back down from the possibility of a protracted legal battle for profit of our clients.

Background Check (Criminal Records)
Foreigners with criminal experience or infectious diseases are more restricted from entering Korea.
First of all, the list of overseas criminal experience verification will be increased in visa screening.
Previously, only instructors teaching minors and marriage immigrants from some countries with many cases of fake and fraudulent marriages were required to issue certificates of overseas criminal experience.
Recently, however, simple laborers, sailors, job seekers, and visitors should prove their criminal records.
In addition, while foreigners did not identify their criminal history when applying for permanent residency, they will check the overseas criminal history of permanent residency applicants, excluding high-value investors, talented people and special contributors. The Ministry of Justice plans not to issue visas to those convicted of violent crimes such as murder and robbery, or those sentenced to imprisonment or higher.
Our lawyer for foreigners can help you solve these processes smoothly.
